Thanks for another great season!

Hey there!, once again it has been about a year since I have blogged, sorry about that but there is not much time to blog in gardening land. Well back to the point. I just want to thank each and every one of you that have supported our dreams for the past years we have been a part of the farmers market. As you have seen our new greenhouse is up and functional and lots of improvements have been made to the property. We are striving to get things cleaned up so access is easier for all of us. Our hours this year were not convenient for lots of you, we do apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused anyone. We have a few reasons for this, one is we are still building and trying to get as much done as possible and the other is, Zack and I got married in late August which took a lot of planing this year, unfortunately taking away from some hours of opening. Now that our wedding went off without a hitch, we can get back to the grind and be open to the public on a consistent hourly schedule. We are aiming to be open by February, and having cold weather vegetable starts and other spring plants. Due to the volume of requests for veggie starts, we will be focusing next year on edible plants & herbs more than we have in the past. We will have available at the nursery more flowering plants than we bring to the market because of limited space. Hopefully we will have some extra produce to sell at the nursery as well. Thanks again for your support and we will see you next year!

Out of 07' into 08'

Its been A long time since I have entered anything into my blog! Well, Winter is upon us and Spring is just around the corner, so things are starting to pick up @ the nursery. This year we will be adding new and Exciting plants to the list of availability! Look for heirloom annuals and perennials such as, Rudbeckia's, Salvia's, Calendula's, Viola's, Sunflowers and Vegetable starts. I am always on the hunt for new and exciting annuals and perennials.
We are also so excited about our new greenhouse we erected last winter, which has proven to be a miraculous space for growing all my precious plants! We will be working hard this year on planting some gardens around the New Nursery, erecting another greenhouse for growing vegetables, and working diligently to building the "Ideal Nursery", that will grow and change with the seasons to come!
The 07' P.T. Farmer's Market season was a record breaking year for us! THANK YOU! TO ALL WHO SUPPORT WILLOW WIND! We could not be in business with out you!! We Love what we do!, And look forward to the 08' season! We will be attending the P.T. Farmer's Market coming this spring as well as having some weekly open hours! The details are not worked out yet, but I will get it to you soon. Thanks again and have a Happy New Year!

Welcome to Willow Winds new blog!

Here we go, Willow wind has a website!
I am just beginning to get some pictures and descriptions together to start posting.
My goal with this website is to be interactive with you, my customers, and provide an informative web page for all of you to get questions answered about my plants and up and coming events I will be attending. Willow Wind will be attending the Port Townsend Farmers market on Saturdays in the Historic Uptown district. The Market is located across the street from Aldrich's Market on Tyler street, starting at 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
This Saturday may 20th there is no Farmers Market because the Rhododendron festival runs the Grand parade through the Historic Uptown District where our market is located. However we will be attending a Specialty Growers plant sale located at the Chimacum High school, Saturday, may 20th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm and Sunday, may 21st, 10:00am - 2:00pm.
Also attending the sale will be, Bambu-u, Far Reaches Nursery, Walker Mt. Meadows and Woodland Gardens. There will be lots of great plans of all shapes and sizes, bamboo, ornamental grasses, shade plants, unusual perennials and large trees and much more. Come join us and meet some of our areas local plant growers. For more information about this sale go to www.jcgrowers.com.
Have a great Rhody weekend and we will see you next week at the farmers market.
